Are you eating (and feeding your family) foods that are contaminated with Glyphosate? AKA Weed Killer!

See the list of foods contaminated with Glyphosate and foods found to be Glyphosate free!

Recently I went to get a ZYTO scan. (I’ll explain more on that in a minute), but I was blown away when the results showed that I had very high levels of glyphosate in my system… wait, what?! That’s right! Weed Killer! Find out if you are also eating foods that are contaminated with Glyphosate!

This sent me on a journey of going through my entire kitchen and researching what foods have tested positive for glyphosate which I will share with all of you!

What is Glyphosate?

According to the National Pesticide Information Center, “Glyphosate is an herbicide. It is applied to the leaves of plants to kill both broadleaf plants and grasses. The sodium salt form of glyphosate is used to regulate plant growth and ripen specific crops. Glyphosate was first registered for use in the U.S. in 1974. Glyphosate is one of the most widely used herbicides in the United States.”

Is it dangerous or safe?

The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer published an article in March of 2015 on the evaluation of five organophosphate insecticides and herbicides. The result of the IARC evaluations were that “the herbicide glyphosate and the insecticides malathion and diazinon were classified as probably carcinogenic to humans.”

“Glyphosate is listed under Proposition 65 effective July 7, 2017 as known to the state to cause cancer,” according to the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.

How does Glyphosate get into our food?

How does weed killer get into our foods and why isn’t it put on the label as an ingredient? Kettle & Fire is a Glyphosate Residue Free certified company, and they wrote a great article explaining glyphosate. Glyphosate can get into your food by the way the food is grown and treated. For example, “a farmer plants GMO seeds, soaks the crop in Roundup, and then sells that crop to food manufacturers.” Continue reading their article here to be blown away by the information they provide. It’s not listed on the ingredients basically because it’s not something that is added to the food. It’s a contaminate of the ingredients used to make the product. This is scary! Most foods that I have been eating (and my family) are contaminated with Glyphosate!

In a report by The Detox Project, they stated, “From 1993 to 2016 Glyphosate Levels in Humans Increase by Alarming 1,208%!” Well, I’m one of those Americans and you might be too!

Back to the ZYTO scan. I have not been physically well for quite a while. I haven’t shared any of that journey with any of you (except for those who know me well). I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and the doctors have tried me on two different medications. I had bad experiences with both and stopped taking them.

I was on a journey to try and find natural or holistic approaches to my issues, and a friend of mine told me about the ZYTO scan. Click here to see videos and descriptions from ZYTO on how this works.

I was blown away by the results of the scan. The #1 immune system stressor in my body is Glyphosate. This got me digging and researching, hence, why I am writing this blog! I’m still going through my report trying to understand what everything means, but the glyphosate in foods is a huge concern (and very scary) and I wanted to share all the information I was finding on this topic so others can be aware of glyphosate contaminated foods and can find better alternatives for themselves and their families.

Long story short, you need to be aware of what you are purchasing and consuming. I have found some safe options which I will also include in this blog after we list all the foods found containing it.

So now that we know that there is SO MUCH out there that could be possibly contaminated with glyphosate, what in the world can we eat? It seems like it’s darn near impossible to find foods that are free from this cancer-causing herbicide.
